Chair of the Referee Assessment Panel

Carsten Koch (GER) has been appointed as chair of the Referee Assessment Panel by the Chair of the Technical Officials Commission.

The main role of the chair of the referee assessment panel shall be assisting the Badminton Europe staff on the education of European referees and includes tasks such as:

1) Coordinate referee selections/appointments for:

• Referee Courses
• Referees going for BEC Assessment

2) Coordinate nominations for:

• Referees going for BWF Assessment

3) Supervision of:

• Referees‘ Record of Work
• Reports from BEC Referee Courses
• Reports from BEC Assessments
• Nominations for BEC Circuit tournaments, European Championships and European Games

4) Prepare/coordinate:

• The referee assessment panel meetings
• Assessors selections for BEC Assessments
• The education of European Referees (e.g. courses content, planning, …)

The chair of the Referee Assessment Panel is a member of the Technical Officials Commission and is appointed by the Chair of the Technical Officials Commission.

It shall be pointed out that the chair of the Referee Assessment Panel‘s work is made as assistance and recommendations to Badminton Europe, and that all appointments are confirmed by the Chair of the Technical Officials Commission before being announced.
