JOB DESCRIPTION
Intern – Badminton Europe
Communications

As a journalist intern at Badminton Europe you will have the chance to work with the biggest athletes of the sport of badminton, to cover some of the biggest badminton tournaments in Europe and you will learn how to make content for digital platforms.

- Do you want to write articles for websites and magazines?
- Do you want to make video content for digital platforms? 

Then the Badminton Europe office might be the right place for you as an intern.

Overall roles and responsibility:
  • The intern will work with the communications team of Badminton Europe to provide the badminton fans of Europe daily content.
  • The intern will work closely with the Communications Manager, but he/she will also receive tasks from other departments within the Confederation.
  • The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to travel abroad from Denmark to tournaments around Europe, to cover tournaments, coaching courses and development activities, such as the RSL BEC Summer School.
  • Day-to-day jobs for the intern will include writing articles for Badminton Europe’s digital platforms and BEC Magazine.
  • The successful candidate will have to re-locate to Copenhagen and must have the necessary work permission in the EU to be considered for the job.
  • The preferred candidate should fit in well in a young and dynamic environment. 
Essential for the role:
  • A high standard of English, both spoken and written
  • The ability to meet deadlines 
  • Time management
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Eligible to work in the EU
  • Ability to work in Copenhagen, daily
  • Either studying or from a journalism/communications background 
Desirable for the role:
  • To be comfortable working alone out of office when required
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to produce basic video content
