BEC 2010 - 2011 Women in Badminton Working Group
Alongside the World Championships in Paris in 2010 the first meeting of the 2010-2011 ‘BEC Women in Badminton’ working group took place.
Out of the 17 applications Badminton Europe received from women of different ages and backgrounds from all over Europe, 12 women were selected for a period of 2 years.
The first meeting in August 2010 was opened by Torsten Berg, BWF Vice President of Europe.
The meeting was the occasion for the participants to discuss about development of women in badminton but also to share their own experiences as women, their ideas, their activities.
The outcomes of the meeting were a list of actions to take and the creation of an online group to discuss and share information about women in badminton.
