European U17 Championships
The European U17 Championships bring together the most talented U17 badminton players from across the continent, offering them the chance to shine on the international stage at an early age. First held in 1990 as a team competition only, the event expanded in 2009 to include individual tournaments, making it a true showcase of Europe’s best U17 talent. Since then, the Championships have grown into an important stepping stone in the development pathway of many successful players. For some, it is the first chance to represent their country at a major international event – and often the beginning of a journey towards the European Junior Championships (U19), the European Championships, and beyond.
The tournament is held every two years (In odd-numbered years) and includes both a team competition and individual events across five disciplines: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
