European U15 Championships
The European U15 Championships bring together Europe’s youngest competitive badminton players, offering them their first real experience of international tournament play. Designed for under-15 players, the event helps introduce participants to the structure, intensity, and excitement of high-level competition at an early stage.
First held in 2014, the Championships have quickly become a key milestone in Europe’s player development pathway. For many, it is their first opportunity to represent their country in a major international event. Unlike older age-group competitions, the U15 tournament emphasizes learning, exposure, and development, providing a safe yet competitive environment where young players can gain confidence, refine their skills, and adapt to travel, new opponents, and tournament routines – all essential stepping stones toward later success at U17, U19, and senior levels.
The tournament is held every two years (in even-numbered years) and includes an individual events across five disciplines: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
