The Olympic journey for Europe’s top women’s doubles pairs, the Stoeva sisters from Bulgaria and Denmark’s Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen, continues with challenging quarterfinals matchups.
The recently conducted draw for the knockout stage has set high stakes for the quarterfinals. Gabriela Stoeva/ Stefani Stoeva are up against the top seeds, Chen Qing Chen/ Jia Yi Fan from China.
Meanwhile, the Danish pair, Maiken Fruergaard/ Sara Thygesen, will compete against Japan’s Nami Matsuyama/ Chiharu Shida, the fourth seeds.
