Polina Buhrova defeated Tereza Švábíková in another one of their close 3-game matches which we have come to expect when these two fierce competitors face each other.
When they played at the 2024 European Championships in Säarbrücken it was Švábíková who ran away with the victory, and thus qualified for the Paris 2024 Games. This time it was the Ukrainan Buhrova who got the last laugh.
This means, in all likelihood, that both the European's are out, the only miniscule chance they have is if Švábíková can throw a wrench into the group by defeating the 7th seeded Tunjung (INA).
They are facing each other tomorrow 3.40 PM CEST at the earliest. Let's hope Švábíková can do the impossible, we will get a high-quality badminton match nonetheless which we are all here for!
