The second day of badminton at Paris 2024 concluded with two all-European matchups, featuring Carolina Marin against Jenjira Stadelmann, and Anders Antonsen taking on Collins Valentine Filimon.
Carolina Marin, Rio 2016 gold medallist, dominated the first game 21-11. Although Switzerland’s Stadelmann mounted a stronger challenge in the second game, Marin clinched a 21-19 victory to wrap up the match in 40 minutes. The Spaniard, who had to skip the last Olympics due to an injury, is off to a strong start in Paris.
