Every year, the BEC Awards recognize great achievements and contribution to European badminton by people engaged in all categories of our sport.
This year, a brand-new award is introduced; The BEC Social Media Award of the Year recognizes a person or more persons, who has contributed significantly, outstandingly, and positively to the promotion of the sport of badminton in Europe via social media.

Through his substantial Instagram following (226K), Aapo Puhakka, 14 years old, has not only showcased his journey as a young player, but also created a platform where he shares his passion for our sport.
Jenny and Greg are nominated for the Social Media Award due to their outstanding contributions on the "Badminton Insight" YouTube channel. Their tutorials cater to both beginners and advanced players, offering valuable tips. With engaging behind-the-scenes content, they have created a vibrant badminton community.
This YouTube show is co-hosted by Anders Antonsen and Former player/coach Hans-Kristian Vittinghus. They are nominated for a unique, professional athlete-perspective that engages the audience with their Q&A’s, interviews, and in-depth analysis.
Mads Christophersen is currently ranked 52 in the world, and has 130K followers on Instagram. Mads Christophersen is nominated for his professional badminton tutorials, reviews, how-to videos, and his great interaction with the fans.
