After straight weeks of BWF World Tour’s tournaments, April starts with the last one before players have a break until May.
The Orléans Masters Badminton 2023 presented by Victor takes place in France from tomorrow until Sunday 9 April.
In this 29th edition of the event, the Orléans Masters was upgraded from the Super 100 to the Super 300 level, raising the prize money to a total of 240.000 US-Dollars.
Kenta Nishimoto, who secured gold yesterday at the Madrid Spain Masters, is the first men’s singles seeded entry, followed by the Spain Masters’ runner-up, Kanta Tsuneyama. Frenchman, Toma Junior Popov, the winner of last year’s edition of the Orléans Masters is also on the list and his first opponent will be Ygor Coelho, from Brazil.
In the main draw of the Orléans Masters, the French mixed doubles pair Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue is the number one seeded duo. But they’re not the only Europeans, as Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje, the Spain Masters 2023 winners, will also perform in this tournament.
Carolina Marin, Margot Lambert/ Anne Tran, Ben Lane/ Sean Vendy and Kirsty Gilmour are some other athletes who will take their chance this week in Orléans.
