
Last week, European U17 talents competed in Liepāja, Latvia, at the RSL Liepāja Beach U17 2026.
The tournament took place from 25 to 27 June and welcomed players from six countries: Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Lithuania, Ukraine and host nation Latvia.
Finland had a strong week, claiming all three doubles titles. Akseli Hämeenheimo/Sofia Reinikainen won the mixed doubles title, while Hämeenheimo also lifted the boys’ doubles trophy alongside Johannes Lehtinen. Reinikainen added a second title in girls’ doubles with Unni Parikka.
In singles, Lithuania’s Daniels Tankevičs won the boys’ singles title, while Sweden’s Amēlija Hagberga claimed gold in girls’ singles.
The home crowd also had victories to celebrate, with Latvian players earning bronze medals in both girls’ doubles and boys’ doubles.
