A little more than a week ago, tragedy struck the Croatian Badminton Association when a massive fire destroyed almost everything inside their facility. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the material loss has been overwhelming. Such a catastrophe is deeply unsettling for any organisation, and Badminton Europe stands firmly with Croatia during this difficult time.

In the days following the fire, a remarkable wave of solidarity emerged from members and partners around the world. Messages of support, offers of help, and immediate action showed once again the strength of unity within the badminton family. When one member is in need, the community steps forward, demonstrating that no federation stands alone.

Following direct dialogue with the Croatian Badminton Association, we gained an understanding of their most urgent needs,  Badminton Europe organised a support initiative to help them manage upcoming events, address immediate challenges, and begin the process of recovering from the losses caused by the fire. 
The focus is clear, ensuring that the Croatian Badminton Association can continue their important work and return to providing opportunities for players, coaches, and young talents across Croatia.

This incident has served as a strong reminder of the importance of standing together. The response from the global badminton community has been inspiring and shows the strength, compassion, and solidarity that define our sport.
