Strong Participation for the 2025 European U17 Championships in Lanzarote
05/11/25 13:55

The 2025 European U17 Championships in Lanzarote, Spain, are set to bring together a strong field of young badminton talents. A total of 34 national teams have entered the team event, while 37 Member Associations will be represented in the individual competition — a great sign of continued engagement across Europe.

Hosted at the Ciudad Deportiva de Lanzarote, the Championships will offer nine days of competition, learning, and international experience for Europe’s most promising U17 players. The event continues to play an important role in Badminton Europe’s High Performance Pathway, supporting young athletes as they progress from national to continental level.

The seedings for both the team event and the individual event will be announced on 14 November, followed by the official Livedraw for the Team event, which will be streamed live on 18 November. Both the draw and the Championships will be free to watch live on BadmintonEurope.tv.

General Secretary of Badminton Europe, Brian Agerbak, said:

The U17 Championships are where Europe’s future champions begin their journey. It’s fantastic to see such strong participation. Lanzarote is a new location for a badminton event of this size but we hope that, with the experience of the Spanish Federation, we will have a great event there.

With strong participation, dedicated hosts, and a shared commitment to supporting young players, the 2025 European U17 Championships are set to be an enjoyable event for everyone involved.
