Badminton Association of Serbia

The Badminton Association of Serbia held a successful Shuttle Time weekend in Belgrade, gathering more than 70 teachers and sports students at the National Badminton Center. With participants from primary and secondary schools across the country, the course focused on giving educators practical skills to bring badminton into their school programmes.

International School Sport Federation President Željko Tanasković and Radomir Jovović, President of the Executive Board of the Badminton Association of Serbia, welcomed the group and underlined Serbia’s long-standing commitment to school badminton. Since first introducing badminton as an optional school subject in 2009 and later joining BWF’s global Shuttle Time initiative, Serbia has continued to expand access to the sport in schools.

To date, more than 15 courses have been delivered nationwide, equipping over 100 schools and engaging more than 20,000 pupils and teachers in badminton activities.
