Badminton Europe Board Meeting in Tbilisi
21/06/26 23:48

Badminton Europe's Board of Directors visited Tbilisi, Georgia, this weekend. Several important topics and areas were on the agenda, with discussions taking place and decisions being made.

We would like to thank the Georgian National Badminton Federation for being incredibly kind and excellent hosts over the past few days. A special thank you goes to President Mamuka Murjikneli for your hospitality. It has also been very encouraging to hear about the progress being made in Georgian badminton.

A big thank you also goes to Shalva Gogoladze, Minister of Sports of Georgia, who took the time to welcome us to his ministry and share the government's strong interest in developing and promoting badminton in Georgia. Together, we also visited a national elite badminton tournament in Tbilisi, where we had the opportunity to watch some of the country's best players, both youth and senior athletes.

Finally, the Minister joined Badminton Europe and members of the Georgian National Badminton Federation, including the President, for a dinner.

These have been some very good days in Georgia, where work has once again been carried out to further promote and develop badminton in Europe.
