The fourth and final physical course of the third edition of the ADVANCE Coaching Education Programme took place from 9–16 March in Holbæk, Denmark, at the BEC High Performance Centre.
As the concluding on-site module, the course marked an important step towards the completion of the programme, with participants now entering the final phase and having three months to complete their assignments.
Throughout the week, coaches combined classroom sessions with on-court activities, focusing on key aspects of world-class badminton such as culture and environments, physical training, sport psychology, and footwork.
A key part of the course was the opportunity to work directly with players from Stenhus College, allowing coaches to apply their learning in a practical setting across three training sessions.
ADVANCE Tutor and BEC Development & High Performance Senior Manager Jacob Oehlenschlæger highlighted the progress of the group:
“The coaches have once again done an amazing job throughout the fourth course. Since the first course in May 2025, their development as coaches has been remarkable. They are now able to make deliberate decisions regarding their coaching approach based on their values, while incorporating high-level badminton content. On top of that, they have developed a strong understanding of how to shape systems and environments that take players from ‘cradle to podium’.”
The ADVANCE tutor team consists of Kenneth Larsen, Jonathan Søgaard and Jacob Oehlenschlæger.
