15 Coaches Graduate from ADVANCE
24/10/25 07:59

15 new European coaches have graduated through the Advanced Badminton Coaching Education (ADVANCE).
15 newly certified coaches from 12 member associations are now ready to continue their coaching careers, equipped with new knowledge and qualifications.

From May 2024 to March 2025, the participants went through 22 days of intensive learning across four courses held over the course of a year. Between the physical meetups, the programme included mentoring, virtual learning, and self-study. After completing their final assignments and evaluations, we are proud to announce that 15 coaches have successfully passed and are now ready to put their newly acquired knowledge into practice.

Fortunately, we are not the only ones thrilled and proud of ADVANCE. Hear what some of the newly graduated coaches had to say about their experience:

Ciarán Chambers, Northern Ireland:
“Taking part in the ADVANCE education has been a really positive and rewarding experience. The programme provided excellent opportunities for coach education, personal development, and reflection, helping me to better understand my own coaching philosophy and how to apply this for an improved impact on my players.

The mix of learning, collaboration, and practical application allowed me to grow both as a coach and as a person. I’ve gained new tools and perspectives that have not only enhanced my work with players but also strengthened my ability to contribute to the wider development of my region. Overall, ADVANCE has been instrumental in helping me become a more effective, confident, and self-aware coach.”

Eefje Besselink, Netherlands:
“The four weeks in Holbaek really made a difference. We didn’t just learn from our tutors, we learned with and from each other as coaches. That exchange of knowledge and experience gave me fresh insights into how to plan and shape training sessions, long-term player development, and a broader perspective on strategy within sport federations. That’s what makes Advance so much more than a regular coaching program. I'd recommend it to any coach who wants to keep growing.”

We truly appreciate the feedback we receive on the programme and are proud to be part of developing the next generation of European badminton coaches.

The third edition of ADVANCE is already underway, with 16 new coaches currently taking the course. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, stay tuned and keep an eye on our channels, as applications for the fourth edition of ADVANCE will be opening soon.
