Europe will have many representatives in the quarterfinals of the VICTOR China Open 2026 after a strong day in Changzhou. Ben Lane/Sean Vendy, Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard, Toma Junior Popov and Nhat Nguyen are among those who have booked their places in the last eight, with Popov and Nguyen facing each other on Friday, guaranteeing Europe a semifinalist in men's singles.

Daniel Lundgaard/Mads Vestergaard gave one of the standout performances of the day, claiming the best Super 1000 result of their careers by defeating fifth seeds Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin 21-19, 12-21, 21-19. The Danish pair will now be competing in their first Super 1000 quarterfinal.

Ben Lane/Sean Vendy also continue their impressive run, reaching a second consecutive World Tour quarterfinal. The English pair won against the sixth seeds Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani in straight games.

In men's singles, Toma Junior Popov defeated Denmark's Rasmus Gemke 21-10 21-19, while Ireland's Nhat Nguyen bounced back from a game down to win against India's Ayush Shetty 15-21, 21-13, 22-20 after an hour-long clash.

The two will now meet in an all-European quarterfinal, ensuring at least one European place in the semifinals of the Super 1000 tournament.
