The YONEX Italian Open 2026 gets underway in Bolzano this week, with home favourites Giovanni Toti and Yasmine Hamza among the players looking to impress on Italian soil.

Toti, seeded third in men's singles, faces a challenging field that includes top seed Le Duc Phat of Vietnam, Denmark's Mads Christophersen and Victor Ørding Kauffmann, as well as second-seeded Christopher Vittoriani.

In women's singles, top-seeded Hamza will carry the hopes of the home crowd but can expect strong competition from Germany's Miranda Wilson and the rest of the international field.

Italy also has a strong prospect in women's doubles, where Martina Corsini/Emma Piccinin enter the tournament as the second seeds.

With several Italian contenders competing across the draws, local fans will be hoping for a successful week in Bolzano.
