The French player isn’t just still fighting in doubles but also facing Viktor Axelsen in a thrilling rematch from the 2024 European Championships semifinal – which was also held on German soil. Although Axelsen leads their head-to-head 3-1, their last encounter was an exciting one, with Popov winning in three games. Both have gotten through difficult moments in their matches this week, but who will advance this time?

Mia Blichfeldt is on a roll, dominating her matches with great power and strength. She’s facing Singapore’s Yeo Jia Min, who is ranked ten spots above her. However, Blichfeldt has had the upper hand in their most recent encounters, having won the last two in 2023.

Ben Lane/Sean Vendy have a tough challenge ahead as they face Koreans Kim Won Ho/Seo Seung Jae. Seo, reigning men’s doubles world champion, has had a promising start to his new pairing with Kim. Interestingly, Lane/Vendy faced Kim/Seo way back in 2017 – eight years have passed since then, and a lot has changed. Will the English pair be able to break through to the final?
