Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue have secured a semifinal spot at the India Open, ensuring a podium finish. The French pair have defeated Japan's Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito, ranked 13th – just one spot above them – with a solid performance, winning 21-16, 21-18.

During the 39 minutes on court, Gicquel/Delrue successfully navigated through crucial moments, including three match points at the end of the match. This victory will both be a great push in terms of ranking points and a significant achievement as their best result at a Super 750 tournament or above since the runner-up position at the Super 1000 China Open in 2023. This follows other recent high-level feats, including a runner-up finish at the Super 500 Kumamoto Masters Japan.

In the semifinals, the French duo will be facing Tang Jie Chen/Ee Wei Toh from Malaysia, third seeds.
