The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2024 in Hangzhou, China, marks a great ending to the season and Olympic year, featuring top European players Anders Antonsen and the duo Kim Astrup/ Anders Skaarup Rasmussen.

Astrup/ Rasmussen, drawn into Group A, face tough competition in Goh Sze Fei/ Nur Izzuddin, Lee Jhe-Huei/ Yang Po-Hsuan, and two-time Olympic champions Lee Yang/ Wang Chi-Lin. This event will be particularly important for the Chinese Taipei pair as it marks the last appearance of the two-times Olympic gold medallist pair. Astrup/ Rasmussen have shown strong form this year, securing two titles and reaching the finals three times in the World Tour, so it will be interesting to see how they’ll close the year in a great way.

On the singles front, with Viktor Axelsen’s unfortunate withdrawal due to injury, Anders Antonsen is Europe’s sole representative in men’s singles. Having recently teamed up with his brother as his new coach, the Dane has shown his excellent form with recent title victories at the VICTOR Denmark Open and LI-NING China Masters.

Antonsen finds himself in a challenging Group A alongside Chou Tien Chen, Lee Zii Jia, and Li Shi Feng. This group guarantees great clashes.

The HSBC BWF World Tour Finals 2024 start tomorrow at 9:30 AM local time, 2:30 AM CET.
