The 49th VICTOR FZ FORZA Hungarian International Championships 2024 finished yesterday in Budapest, Hungary. The International Series event saw European players securing spots in all podium finishes, with a blend of both established circuit players and emerging young athletes within European badminton.

The women’s doubles final featured Abbygael Harris/ Lizzie Tolman in a thrilling three-game clash against Swede Malena Norrman and France’s Xu Wei. After two closely contested games, Harris and Tolman overcame their opponents in the decisive game, winning 19-21, 21-19, 21-14.

In men’s singles, the all-Danish final between Jakob Houe and Ditlev Jaeger Holm was just as close and exciting. After conquering his first Future Series titles last year, Houe claimed his first International Series gold by defeating Holm 19-21, 21-12, 21-19.

Mixed doubles saw top seeds Mihajlo Tomic/ Andjela Vitman capture their second title of the year. Meanwhile, in men’s doubles, top seeds Oliver Butler/ Samuel Jones fought hard but finished as runners-up, marking their second final appearance of the year on the circuit.

The action continues with another International Series tournament, the FZ FORZA Norwegian International 2024, taking place from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 November. All matches will be streamed live on badmintoneurope.tv. Stay tuned!
