Denmark has found their new national coach, and he has been chosen internally among their own coaches. Thomas Stavnsgaard will become the new head national coach for the Danish badminton team starting January 1, 2025. Stavnsgaard has spent recent years working as a national coach with primary responsibility for the men's doubles category, but he will take over the position of head national coach from Kenneth Jonassen, who has held the role for eight years.

In a press release to Badminton Denmark, Thomas Stavnsgaard stated, "I see it as a great honor to be asked and deemed good enough to be Denmark's head national coach. I am very humble about the task ahead, and I look forward to building on the great work done by Kenneth Jonassen."

In addition to the appointment of Stavnsgaard, the Danish national team is also bringing in former player and Thomas-cup winner Hans-Kristian Solberg Vittinghus as the new coach with primary responsibility for the men's singles category. Due to Vittinghus's current job situation, he will officially join the Danish national team starting August 1, 2025.
