Indonesia Triumphs, Winning Their 2nd World Championship for Mixed Teams

After an impressive tournament, Indonesia emerged victorious, clinching their second title in the Junior Mixed Team Championships with a final victory over the home favorites, China. The final was relatively close, but Indonesia took the lead from the second match and never relinquished it.

European Performances:
From a European perspective, several countries returned home with strong results. Denmark advanced to the quarter-finals and finished in a commendable 8th place after a few tight losses. After a close defeat in the group stage to Chinese Taipei, France competed for positions 9-16, securing a series of impressive victories to ultimately finish 10th in this year’s Championship. Poland lost in the group stage to the eventual champions from Indonesia and also competed for positions 9-16, finishing in a solid 12th place.

Completing the top 16, Turkey placed 14th, England 15th, and Estonia 16th.

Europe was well represented at the Championships, and the placements of the remaining nations are as follows:

Slovenia: 22nd
Netherlands: 23rd
Norway: 27th
Slovakia: 29th
Latvia: 31st
Portugal: 33rd
Armenia: 34th
Azerbaijan: 35th

Start of the Individual Junior World Championship
The conclusion of the team tournament also marks the beginning of this year’s individual World Junior Championships. The Championships start today and will run until the finals on October 13th. Europe is also well represented here, with many players from various nations competing. Notably are the top-seeded French Mixed Doubles pair Tom Lalot Trescarte and Elsa Jacob, the third-seeded Women’s Doubles pair Elsa Jacob and Camille Pognante, the sixth-seeded Men’s Doubles from Italy Marco Danti and Simone Piccinin, and the seventh-seeded Polish singles player Mateusz Golas stand out.
