The YONEX Belgian International wrapped up a great week of badminton at the Sportoase in Leuven, Belgium, yesterday. The tournament closed off with exciting finals.

The standout moment of finals day was Julien Carraggi’s stunning victory in men's singles. Seeded second, the Belgian triumphed over top-seeded Dane Mads Christophersen in a final that spanned three games, ending 21-16, 12-21, 21-19. This win marks Carraggi's first at an International Challenge level, adding to his two titles in the European Circuit at an International Series level.

Carraggi shared his emotions with Badminton Vlaanderen after the victory: “It was a match full of emotions. After a long tournament, where I played to three games each day, I felt my legs cramping up at the end. But with the support of the audience, I gave it my all. I've never seen so many supporters for a match in Belgium before. I hope I was able to please them.”

The European Circuit continues this week with the Polish International presented by VICTOR, an International Series tournament.
