The BWF has announced which sanctioned events will test out the experimental scoring system - 5 games to 11 without setting. The testing period is from 1 August to 2 November and will involve BWF sanctioned events - including some junior sanctioned international tournaments. Many European tournaments are included in the test periode for example the Yonex Dutch Open, the Yonex Belgian International and the Swiss International. After some initial testing - and consultation with players, the Athletes’ Commission and Member Associations in April / May 2014, the BWF Council agreed at its meeting in Delhi on Friday 18 May, to introduce a period of testing of a new experimental scoring system, best of 5 games to 11 without setting.
