The YONEX Dutch Open 2024 wrapped up with plenty of great performances in Den Bosch, having some familiar faces on the podium and an emotional farewell to a beloved player.

The mixed doubles final marked the last professional match for Selena Piek, who, alongside her partner Robin Tabeling for the last five years, bid adieu to professional badminton on home soil.

In an exciting finale to their partnership, Tabeling and Piek, the tournament favourites, faced second seeds Callum Hemming/ Estelle Van Leeuwen, the defending champions, who successfully retained their title in a close match, overcoming three match points against the Dutch pair to win 17-21, 21-15, 24-22.

Mads Christophersen, who was the runner-up at the 2022 Dutch Open, ascended to the top this year with a solid victory against India’s Ayush Shetty in the men’s singles final, with a score of 21-10 21-9.

In women's doubles, the Stoeva sisters added to their many titles yet another one by defeating England’s duo Chloe Birch/  Estelle Van Leeuwen with scores of 21-15 21-18.
