We are on day 6 of the Badminton Competition, and after a couple of welcoming European surprises, From Toma Junior Popov, the Stoeva sisters, and Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen, we have a day with a lot of European matches to look forward to.

Women's Doubles
Chen Qing Chen / Jia Yi Fan [1] (CHN) vs Gabriela Stoeva / Stefani Stoeva (BUL)

Sara Thygesen / Maiken Fruergaard (DEN) vs Nami Matsuyama / Chiharu Shida [4] (JPN)

The two women’s doubles quarterfinals with European participation ended in two-game losses. Unfortunately, this means we have to say goodbye to European medals in women’s doubles. However, we want to emphasize the great achievement both of these two women’s pairs have accomplished by making it out of the group stage with such great competition!

Later in the day we will have three more matches in the knockout stages with European participation.

01:00 PM: Kim Astrup/ Anders Skaarup Rasmussen vs Kang Min Hyuk/ SEO Seung Jae [4]

02:10 PM: Zii Jia vs Toma Junior Popov

06:30 PM: Beiwen Zhang vs Carolina Marin
