Badminton Europe is happy to invite all our Member Associations to a Player Pathway course by World Academy of Sports (WAoS). The course will run from 2-5 November 2017 in Holbaek, Denmark, at the Centre of Excellence (COE).

The course is aimed at individuals who are responsible for elite players and the development of national level results. Participants can expect to get new ideas and strategies on how to work in high-performance and how to make a player pathway plan. Furthermore, the participants will also be shown around at the COE facilities in Holbaek.

The BWF offers the Player Pathway Programme to assist national federations in designing a ‘player pathway’ that is right for them.  Run in conjunction with the World Academy of Sport, this is a face-to-face course for federation personnel involved in athlete development, including:
  • High-performance Directors
  • National coaches
  • Federation Presidents

Participants in the Player Pathway Programme will carry out hands-on activities designed to help them formulate their own systematic plans for:
  • Identifying and developing talent
  • Finding the resources and support needed
  • Identifying the stakeholders involved
  • Gaining stakeholder support
  • Presenting high-performance athletes at major events
  • Achieving and validating interim and final objectives

Are you or someone in your Member Association interested in applying for the course mentioned above, we kindly ask you to contact your national member association. We will not accept applicants that are not submitted by their Member Association.

The deadline to send the application form to Badminton Europe is Friday, 15 September 2017.

Download the official invitation which has been sent to all Badminton Europe’s MAs.
