With less than two months to go until the BWF World Mixed Team Championships, we now know who will be facing who in the group stage.
The 2023 Sudirman Cup Finals, to be held in Suzhou from 14 to 21 May, will have the best world mixed team crowned but first, the 16 qualified teams will have to work their way through the group stage.
While the draw for the Group Stage has just been conducted, here’s how it’s looking for the Europeans.
How do the four groups look?
The European champions, Denmark, have been drawn in the same group as China, the current title-holders and 12-time Sudirman Cup champions. In Group B, Germany will have to face American champions Canada, Asia’s runner-ups Thailand, and Indonesia, who won the title in the first-ever edition of the competition.
France and England will be competing in the same group. The two European teams have been placed in Group D alongside with Korea and last year’s runner-ups Japan.
Group A: China, Denmark, Singapore, Egypt
Group B: Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, Canada
Group C: Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, India, Australia
Group D: Japan, Korea, France, England
