Friday morning the French team won their second tie at the 2020 European Junior Team Championships.
France is chasing their third European Junior team title in a row, and on Friday morning they got one step closer to the knock-out stage of the tournament.
After winning 4-1 against Switzerland in the opening tie on Thursday, the French team won 5-0 against the Estonian team, which took a surprising win, 4-1 against Ukraine on Thursday.

Anna Tatranova and French super star Christo Popov won the singles, while Flavie Vallet and Emilie Vercelot secured the win winning the women’s doubles 25-27 21-13 21-9.
- We were not really focused in the first game, and we made a lot of mistakes. We kept the attack in the second and third game and we focused well and was determinated, Vallet stated.
France beat Estonia 5-0, and the French team will later today face Slovenia in third tie of the group stage.
- We are here to win the title, Vercelot said.
