Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen are ready to face European medallists, Emilie Lefel and Anne Tran in the quarterfinals of SaarLorLux Open.

The second round of the SaarLorLux Open is on, and the first players for the quarterfinals have already been found.

Most of the top European women’s doubles entered the tournament, and for the Dutch pair, Debora Jille and Cheryl Seinen, who is seeded eight, it is a chance to compete against the best European pairs for one last time in 2020.

Eager to play well
In the second round Jille and Seinen beat Christine Busch and Amalie Schulz, who made it to the semifinals at the Denmark Open two weeks ago. The Dutch won 21-11 22-20.

- I think we started off really well, and we had a clear game plan we wanted to execute: We played at a high tempo and I had the feeling that they were a bit surprised by that, Debora Jille said.

- I struggled a lot in mixed doubles yesterday, where I could not find my rhythm and touch, so I was really eager to play well today. I am quite happy I felt much more comfortable on court today, and I think we can be satisfied with our performance.

Secret game plan
On Friday Jille and Seinen will be facing Anne Tran and Emilie Lefel from France.

- We all know that Emilie is coming back from a tough injury. Still we are going try not to focus too much on that and put too much pressure on winning.

- I hope we can walk off court tomorrow with a good feeling and show some nice badminton, but I am not revealing our game plan, the Dutch said with a smile.
