Badminton Europe has signed a charter of the charity organization SoliBad - Badminton without Borders. The charter was signed at the Yonex French Open Superseries in Paris by Badminton Europe Vice President Andrey Antropov on behalf of BEC President Gregory Verpoorten. By signing this charter, BEC vow to help Solibad - Badminton without Borders, deliver their message, by offering a logo on our official website and by considering from time to time to support Solibad projects as and when they support good causes within our Member Associations.
The primary objective of SoliBad is to raise funds within the global community of badminton, with the help of both amateur and professional players, and to donate the money raised to various local projects, some of which are badminton related, and that have been chosen carefully for their sustainability. SoliBad has a big network of Ambassadors like world champion Carolina Marin and the former top players Peter Gade and Pi Hongyan. The Ambassadors represent Solibad in their own country, by promoting their work and projects.
