Notable triumphs in the quarterfinals

The competition has now ascended to its final days, with today's quarterfinals setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting semifinal showdown tomorrow.

A few of the notable players that have advanced to the semifinals include the German duo Rick Cornell Hellmann and Thomas Wandschneider. They managed to overcome the Spaniards Ignacio Fernandez and Francisco Motero in men’s doubles (Wheelchair WH 1 – WH 2). In women’s singles, Henriett Koosz from Austria defeated her counterpart 21-13 21-16 to reach the Wheelchair WH 1, semifinals. Other notable wins include Englishman Daniel Bethell (Standing Lower SL 3) and the French player Meril Loquette (Standing Upper SU 5).
