Denmark’s Anders Antonsen beats Chia Hao Lee (TPE) in the quarterfinals of the Singapore Open.

The 58-minute match between Lee and Antonsen was an intense battle. With a result of 12-21 in the first game, Antonsen bounced back in the second and third games, winning 21-13 21-11.

Tomorrow, the Dane will face Japan’s Kodai Naraoka, currently number four in the world ranking. Antonsen's opponent for the semifinals is one that he's familiar with, as he defeated the Japanese player last year on home soil at the Japan Open.

Naraoka made it all the way to the final at the Singapore Open last year, finishing as runner-up. Will Antonsen be able to beat the strong Japanese athlete?

More European results

Mathias Christiansen and Alexandra Bøje also showed a strong performance today on court as they beat Thailand’s Supak Jomkoh and Supissara Paewsampran in a three-game match. In tomorrow’s semifinals, the Danish duo will face Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun, from Korea.

There were also some defeats today, with Christo Popov and Ben Lane/ Sean Vendy losing their matches and therefore ending their run for the title in the Singapore Open 2023.
