The qualification round begins

The YONEX Luxembourg Open 2023 kicked off today with the qualification round.

From 4 until 7 May, players from all around the world will take part in this International Series tournament. Today matches started early in the morning and you can watch them on badmintoneurope.tv

Kate Frost (Ireland) who’s number one seed in women’s doubles together with Moya Ryan in the main draw, played today in the qualification with her partner Scott Guildea in mixed doubles. The pair won 21-15 24-22 against Gabriel Rodrigues and Madalena Fortunato (Portugal).

Luxembourg’s Mara Hafner and Zoé Sinico are the seeded players qualifying in women’s doubles at the Luxembourg Open 2023. However, Mara Hafner is also playing singles and due to her first opponent’s withdrawal, she is now preparing for the next round against Chiang Ying Li (Chinese Taipei).

There are still many matches to go in Luxembourg and tomorrow the main draw begins at 09.00 (CET). Exciting matches are expected and you can check the schedule here.
