Today the FZ Forza Dutch International 2023 started in Wateringen, Netherlands.

The qualification round began at 09:00 (CET) and is expected to end later in the evening, as the athletes are playing through every qualification round today.

In this year's edition of the Dutch International, both established players and young talents are competing. Gabriela Stoeva is not playing with her sister Stefani Stoeva as usual. This time around, Stoeva is competing in two events with different partners. In the mixed doubles, the European champion already played in the qualification round with Evgeni Panev but lost against Mael Cattoen and Emilie Vercelot 21-9 21-9. In women’s doubles Stoeva will have her chance to play in the main draw tomorrow with Kaloyana Nalbantova.

The young German talents Jarne Schlevoigt and Julia Meyer are seeded players in the qualification, and won their first round 17-21, 21-12, 21-13 against Ireland’s Scott Guildea and Kate Frost. They are now preparing to perform in the last round to make it to the main draw. You can watch all matches on www.badmintoneurope.tv
