The 21-year-old An Se Young from Korea is having an amazing year so far. She played five tournaments in 2023 and reached the final in each of them. Winning the prestigious YONEX All England today was already her third championship of the year.

The most entertaining match on finals day at the YONEX All England 2023 was the women's singles. Chen Yu Fei (China) and An Se Young put on a great show and fought for 75 minutes. In the end, the Korean took the victory 21-17, 10-21, 21-19 to win the first All England title of her young career.

"It was mainly Chinese fans cheering throughout the game. But hearing the crowd shout my name in that moment definitely boosted my confidence", said An Se Young, thinking back to her matchpoint at 20-19 in the deciding game.

Mohammad Ahsan injured in men's doubles final

The men's doubles final was an Indonesia-only battle between Ahsan/Setiawan and Alfian/Ardianto. The current world number 1 and top-seeded pair Alfian/Ardianto was in control from the start and was leading 21-17, 19-14 when Mohammad Ahsan injured his left leg.

But Ahsan did not want to retire and went back on court to give his compatriots their winning moment. After the match, Ahsan was brought to the pricing ceremony in a wheelchair. "I hope it is not too bad. I don't know what it is yet, because the doctors have to check first", shared his partner Hendra Setiawan afterwards in the mixed zone.

The remaining winners of this year's YONEX All England:

Men's singles: Li Shi Feng, China

Mixed doubles: Zheng SI Wei & Huang Ya Qiong, China

Women's doubles: Kim So Yeong & Kong Hee Yong, Korea
