Feng/Huang win third title of the year - still unbeaten in 2023

Feng Yan Zhe and Huang Dong Ping (China) have won the mixed doubles title at the YONEX German Open 2023. It was already their third title of 2023 after also winning at the Indonesia Masters in January and the Thailand Masters in February.

In today's final Feng and Huang faced Kim Won Ho and Jeong Na Eun from Korea and won in straight games 21-4, 21-15. "We are very happy with this win. It is the third championship in a row and we feel very good on court together. We trust each other and enjoy every match", stated Huang Dong Ping.


Ng Ka Long Angus wins first title since 2020

The second winner of the day was already waiting for his next world tour title for more than three years. Ng Ka Long Angus from Hong Kong defeated Li Shi Feng (China) in the German Open final 20-22, 21-18, 21-18. It was his second final in Mülheim an der Ruhr after 2018 but the first time he came out at the winning end. The match between him and Li Shi Feng from China was an amazing battle going back and forth for 86 minutes.

"In the beginning of the second set I got a bit injured and thought that I had to give up the match. But the crowd gave a lot of support to me which made me feel very warm. Today's championships also belongs to them", said Ng Ka Long Angus after the match.
