Denmark leads 2-0 in their match against England in the 2023 European Mixed Team Championships semifinals.

Starting with the women’s singles, Line Christophersen faced Freya Redfearn, who yesterday got to take her match against fellow Dane Linke Kjærsfeldt to three games. ChristopherseN, playing her third match for Denmark in this event, secured the win in straight games, 21-5 21-15.

Next up was the men’s singles, Viktor Axelsen against Johnnie Torjussen. The European Champion didn’t give the Englishman many chances, delivering yet another solid performance, 21-12 21-8.

Denmark is now leading 2-0 and would only need one more win to confirm their place in tomorrow’s final. Can Maiken Fruergaard/ Sara Thygesen close this team match in three matches, or will Chloe Birch/ Lauren Smith get England their first win to fight for another match?
