There are still 6 months to go until the matches of the Qualification Group of the 2023 European Mixed Team Championships are played but we will soon know who will be in each of the five groups. The draw for the Qualification Groups will be done
live on Tuesday 14 June 2022 at 14.00 CEST on
www.badmintoneurope.tv.
Who will be competing?
There are 29 Members entering the 2023 European Mixed Team Championships: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ukraine.
Three countries have directly qualified for the final stage: Denmark as title holder, France as host of the final stage, and Germany as highest ranked country not already qualified. The remaining 26 countries will be drawn into 5 groups: 2 groups of 4 teams and 3 groups of 6 teams.
The seeded teams in each group as per the team ranking (calculated based on the BWF World Ranking of 7 June 2022) are:
Group 1: England (group of 4)
Group 2: Netherlands (group of 4)
Group 3: Spain (group of 6, 2 subgroups of 3)
Group 4: Scotland (group of 6, 2 subgroups of 3)
Group 5: Bulgaria (group of 6, 2 subgroups of 3)
