The town of Holbæk in Denmark will be the host for the next BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 3 Course. Registration is now open.

Badminton Europe is happy to announce the dates for the upcoming BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 3 Course. The BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 3 Course will be organised in Holbæk, Denmark, from 1 to 6 June 2022.

General Information
  • The objectives of the BWF/ BEC Coach Education Level 3 Course are for candidates to:
  • Examine their national systems with regard to talent detection and identification
  • Apply key aspects of talent development to their own national systems
  • Identify key differences in managing elite training environments
  • Implement concepts and strategies for elite player development into their coaching practice

Prerequisites for participants:
  • BWF Level 2 Coach or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of coaching experience.
  • Should be competent and comfortable discussing high-level content in English
  • Will need to undertake significant reading and pre-course tasks (in addition to an extended project following the course)

Practical details
The course will be held from Wednesday, 1 June 2022 to Monday, 6 June 2022. Participants are expected to arrive on Tuesday, 31 May 2022 and depart on Monday, 6 June 2022 in the afternoon.

Local transport from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport will be arranged by BEC. Airport where participants and experts will be picked up is Copenhagen International Airport.

Badminton Europe will cover the following for up to 2 participants from each Member. 
  • Accommodation for 6 nights in a double room, including breakfast.
  • Lunch and dinner on site during the course (dinners on 6 June is not included).
  • Travel costs for participants will not be covered by Badminton Europe. Travel related costs have to be covered by Members or participants.
 
Gender Equity
Gender Equity in badminton constitutes a key subject for both BEC and BWF. Both BEC’s terms of reference and BWF’s statutes aim to achieve a balanced gender representation in all badminton activities. To achieve this general objective, Members are encouraged to work together with BEC to attract more participants from underrepresented genders in all funded activities.

Registration
All candidates’ applications must be submitted by their National Federations via the online link: BWF/BEC Coach Education Level 3 Course Online Registration. Be aware that candidates’ CV and motivation letter (1 page maximum) must be attached within the online registration.

The deadline for the application is Tuesday 12 April 2022.

Badminton Europe will review the applications, motivation letters and sport CVs, with the final selection being subjected to BWF’s approval. BEC will confirm to the Members their participation. BEC might as well evaluate the English level of the candidates to make sure the candidates can deliver tasks at an appropriate level.

As per decisions made by the BEC Board of Directors any Federation currently declared not in Good Standing, shall not be eligible to receive funding from BEC nor enter to any activity organised or sanctioned by BEC.

Please do not make any travel arrangements before receiving confirmation from Badminton Europe.

Additional details about the venue and other arrangements will be communicated closer to the course.
