China beat Japan in the 2020 Uber Cup final.

After missing out on the title in 2018, the Uber Cup trophy now travels back to China. The Chinese Uber Cup team won their 15th Uber Cup title beating Japan 3-1 in 2020 Uber Cup final.

In the opening match of the tie, Akane Yamaguchi took the first point for Japan. The 2018 World Championships bronze medallist won in straight games, 21-18 21-10, against the reigning Olympic champion, Chen Yu Fei.

- I was a bit nervous, but when I won the first game, I could see that she was getting nervous and felt the pressure, Akane Yamaguchi mentioned.

- It has never been easy for me to play against Yamaguchi. I am also trailing against her head-to-head, Chen Yu Fei said.
