We have our quarterfinalists at EU17C21

After four days of fierce battling on court at the 2021 European U17 Championships, each category is down to the final eight entries in Slovenia. This evening of badminton is going to be good! 

Both Denmark and Russia, the nations who dominated the medals in Gniezno 2019, once again have a strong presence in the quarterfinals. Denmark have six entries and a guaranteed medal in the mixed doubles, while the European U17 Team Champions, Russia, have five. 

Suprise runs were seen from scratch pairing Polina Karmalys/ Anamaria Serban (BLR/ROU) who knocked out the top seeds. 

Ireland's Matthew Cheung hopes to emulate the golden success of Nhat Nguyen who won in 2016. 

Ukrainian talent Yevheniia Kantemyr, is only player still in three categories. No player has medalled in all three categories before.
