In a blink of an eye, the Victor Denmark Masters 2021 has seen the busy schedule whittled down to just five more matches. The final ones that will decide who takes home the title.

In the men’s singles, the third seed Brian Yang put in a stellar performance against the top seed, Lakshya Sen in three games to book a well-deserved spot in the final. The Canadian will face the home favourite, Victor Svendsen. In his fifth meeting with Felix Burestedt, the energetic seventh seed took a straight-game victory.

There is a revenge match in the women’s singles between compatriots Line Christophersen and Julie Dawall Jakobsen who overcame their tough semifinals. The European silver medallist, Line Christophersen, defeated Jakobsen on the way to the podium in Kyiv. Jakobsen said that she knows she can play better and vows to do just that tomorrow.

The only unseeded finalists come in the form of the new French combination playing their fifth tournament together, Ronan Labar/ Lucas Corvee. They survived three match points in their semifinal to make it. Waiting for them are the third-seeded Danes, Daniel Lundgaard/ Mathias Thyrri. This one will be fiery.

We have number one vs number two in the seedings for the women’s doubles. Amalie Magelund/ Freja Ravn have been flawless on their way to the final. Their opponents are Indian pair Ashwini Ponnappa/ Reddy N. Sikki, a battle-hardened pair on the World Tour. They are enjoying being back on court and slowly finding their flow here in Denmark.

As in the Spain Masters in May, Amalie Magelund features in two finals. In the mixed doubles with Niclas Nohr, they secured their finals spot in convincing fashion. In Huelva, they were runners-up in both finals but hope to flip their fortunes on a home court.

Their opponents will be fellow Danes Jeppe Bay/ Sara Lundgaard who hope to embrace their underdog status and cause a surprise.
