The former European Champions finished second in their group beating fellow Europeans, Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov and their Nigerian opponents.
In the quarterfinals the Danish men’s doubles pair will be facing Liu Yu Chen and Li Jun Hui from China.
The Chinese pair lead the head-to-head 7-1 against the Danes, but Astrup and Rasmussen beat the Olympic number three seeds at China Open 2018.
