It is time to fight for the medals at the Tokyo Olympics.

Eight pairs made it out of the groups in the men’s doubles category at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen will be defending the European colours on the courts in Japan.

The former European Champions finished second in their group beating fellow Europeans, Vladimir Ivanov/Ivan Sozonov and their Nigerian opponents.

In the quarterfinals the Danish men’s doubles pair will be facing Liu Yu Chen and Li Jun Hui from China.

The Chinese pair lead the head-to-head 7-1 against the Danes, but Astrup and Rasmussen beat the Olympic number three seeds at China Open 2018.

The men’s doubles quarterfinals will be taking place on the 29 July.
