Perhaps it is your dream to work in social media and video within the sports world? Now you have the chance to get experience through working for one of the biggest badminton platforms in the world.

Badminton Europe is the governing body of badminton in Europe. It is one of the five continental bodies under the flag of the Badminton World Federation.

We are looking for someone who is interested in becoming a Video & Social Media Volunteer. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in promoting badminton through social media and video content production.

The role is fully remote, so we are open to applications from far and wide. You do not need to be a badminton fan, but a background in sports would be advantageous.

Badminton fans love video
-We can see that the badminton fans love video, and we would like to give the fans what they want, says Rasmus Bech, Badminton Europe Communication Manager.

Our sport delivers a lot of great video content, and if you would like to work with video and social media on a voluntary basis, this is a good opportunity.

Great experience
- This is the first time we are looking for a person to support our organisation in video content. In the past three years, we have gained great experience working with volunteer writers – one of them even becoming a full-time employee – and I hope that somebody out there could find this project interesting, states Rasmus Bech.

Your personal and professional development is important to us; therefore you will get feedback and guidance to help reach your goals.

The current Communication Officer at Badminton Europe, Alan Raftery, knows first-hand how beneficial such a volunteer role can be.

-This chance is something that I personally could not recommend highly enough. I had been a Volunteer Writer for 18 months before landing my perfect role and moved to Denmark. Every day I write about the sport I love!

For those who are interested, please send your application to:

Deadline for application is 5 March 2021.
