Peter Kaesbauer and Jones Ralfy Jansen won for the fourth time against Adam Hall and Alexander Dunn.

The German and the Scottish men’s doubles pairs met three times in 2019 with three German wins as the results. In the first 2020 meeting of the two pairs it was another close matchup, but again it was the German who clinched the spot in the next round.

Kaesbauer and Jansen, who are ranked 39 in the world, beat Dunn and Hall, ranked 38 on the world ranking, in straight games 23-21 21-18.

A big chance
With the win the Germans are now one of the last eight pairs in the tournament and will be facing either Ben Lane/Sean Vendy from England or their countrymen Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Seidel

- We are super happy. At a Super 750 second round to play the Scottish this is a big chance – and it is the same for them – and we are happy that we took it. It was close again, Peter Kaesbauer stated.

- We do not care who we play. Of course, we know Mark and Marvin from training, but we also know the English pair – we played them two times last year. For the opponent we get, we make a game plan, he added.
