Dina Abouzeid Sariñena is one of the experts that will lead the Para Badminton Event, taking place this weekend in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. 

Dina Abouzeid Sariñena started playing badminton when she was 10 years old and has been involved in badminton since then. From 1991 to 1999, she was a part of the Jordanian National Team and just two years later, she started coaching badminton in Spain. Then in 2009, she got into coaching Para badminton. 

Dina Abouzeid Sariñena has a long list of courses she has taken to be where she is today. Below are the list:

• Shuttle Time course (Spanish Badminton Federation)  
• Badminton and Para Badminton Umpire
• Badminton coach Level 3 (Spanish Badminton Federation) 
• Shuttle Time Tutor (Spanish Badminton Federation)
• Participation in the 1st and 3rd BEC Para Badminton Education Course 
• Participation in the 1st BEC Para Badminton Tutor Course

Besides plenty of training and education, Dina Abouzeid Sariñena also brings a lot of experience to this event as she has been a badminton coach since 2008 in both schools and clubs, a coach for the Spanish National Team of Para badminton since 2010, participated in two Para badminton World Championships, European Championships and international tournaments, and last but not least delivered seven Para badminton workshops for BWF and Badminton Europe.

The sport is growing

Dina Abouzeid Sariñena is looking very much forward to the event at the weekend and shares some words on how it will be to lead the event. 

- First of all, I am happy to take part with BEC again and thank the Portuguese Badminton Federation for the invitation. I look forward to sharing my 13 years of experience in Para badminton and offering my best. And of course, learn from the students, who always bring great ideas to grow as a coach and as an expert. I hope we will have a safe and productive course. The level of the students is very high and that is very good because each time the difficulty is greater and it is no longer an initiation course, that means the sport is growing.
